The origins of M1candles
M1 Candles was born from the shared passion of two creative minds for ambiance, sustainability, and interior design. We wanted to move away from traditional candles filled with soot, leftovers, and waste, and so we came up with the idea to develop something completely new: a candle concept that is beautiful, safe, and reusable. This idea led to the creation of our Luminière collection with candle sand – a stylish, sustainable way to burn candles that instantly becomes a focal point in any interior.

In een wereld vol snelle consumptie en goedkope kaarsen wilden wij een alternatief creëren: een herbruikbare kaars die niet alleen mooi is, maar ook duurzaam, veilig en persoonlijk.
We merkten dat veel traditionele kaarsen gemaakt zijn van paraffine, roeten, druipen en na gebruik simpelweg worden weggegooid. Dat paste niet bij onze visie op een duurzaam interieur en een cosy woonbeleving. Daarom kozen wij bewust voor kaarsenzand — ook wel bekend als kaarsen zand, zandkaars of candle sand — als basis voor een nieuwe manier van sfeer creëren.
Onze motivatie is eenvoudig: mensen helpen om een warme sfeer te creëren in hun woonkamer, aan tafel of tijdens speciale momenten, zonder concessies te doen aan gezondheid, milieu of design. Geen wegwerpkaarsen, maar een herbruikbare kaars die blijft meegroeien met jouw interieur.
